The Eccentric Bookworm's Series for Overcoming Reading Drought
As a seasoned reader with a discerning taste, I'm not interested in mindless upgrade-and-map-switching novels. If the plot lacks intelligence and the main character is constantly using vulgar language, I’ll pass. I'm also not interested in stories where the protagonist shamelessly flirts with a female character he just met, especially when the writing feels elementary.
While some stories have genuinely interesting concepts, poor sentence structure makes for an unenjoyable reading experience. My preferences differ greatly and don't reflect the general consensus.
Sorry, but I'm especially turned off by the trope of a stunningly beautiful and spoiled female character! If the main character, designed to be rational, could easily confront a threat but instead wastes time arguing with a minor antagonist—especially if the antagonist's beauty or her connections are used as reasons to back off—then I'm definitely not interested.
I recommend exploring a variety of genres. If the first three chapters are good, consider checking it out!
