1 I wish we saw a little more of the outside world. The world-building is very contained inside the manor. The descriptions of the “Academy” and the “Royal Castle” are just names mentioned in passing. It's good for a slow-burn, but I’m dying to know what the actual geopolitical situation is, whether magic exists, or what regular people are like. The story hints at a larger world (the violet eyes of the marquis family, the brother's classes) but keeps it sparse.
