Diana is Dean's first wife, married to him for political and status reasons. The marriage was unhappy, and they divorced when Luke was three years old. She was an indifferent mother who rarely took care of Luke. She is only mentioned in conversation between Dean and Stan as a cautionary example of a failed union. Little else is known.
