Fang Yi is the male protagonist, a company commander in the military. He is handsome, popular with women, and arrogantly spoiled. He loves Shen Baozhu and despises Shen Qi, whom he calls a “country bumpkin.” To please his dying grandfather, he agrees to marry Shen Qi but plans to divorce her afterward, only obtaining the certificate without a wedding.
