Grandpa Fang is Fang Yi’s grandfather, a respected old master in the compound. He is in poor health, requiring a wheelchair. He was saved by Shen Qi and arranged the engagement between her and his grandson, believing she is kind-hearted. He opposes his daughter-in-law’s disdain for Shen Qi and scolds Fang Yi for mistreating her. He becomes upset when Shen Qi asks to break the engagement. He genuinely cares for Shen Qi but his declining health prevents him from protecting her fully.
