The Inner Demon, also called Ze Ze, is a voice in Jiang Wu's Sea of Consciousness that predicted her doom and urged her to raise the reincarnation of the Divine Venerable. It appears to be a sentient entity with knowledge of the Divine Venerable's tribulations. It communicates with Jiang Wu, often teasing or pushing her. It seems to have its own agenda and is bound to Jiang Wu throughout her journey.
