Jaylot is Eld's younger half-brother with blue eyes. He is thoughtful and intelligent, having assisted Eld with work at the manor. He protests Sandrea's treatment of Eld and is encouraged by Eld to follow his own path rather than becoming lord. He helps sort mail after Sandrea takes over.
