Jiang Nan is the protagonist of the story. She is a recent university graduate who returned to her rural hometown after resigning from a stressful job in the city. Unemployed and penniless, she starts selling products through live streaming with the help of a mysterious system that assigns sales tasks. Jiang Nan is intelligent, determined, and gradually gains confidence as she interacts with customers. She values authenticity, turns off tips, and enforces purchase limits. She lives with her parents, has two elder sisters, and is very close to her cousin Song Feifei. Despite initial embarrassment and setbacks with couriers, she persists in growing her live-streaming business and dreams of reuniting her family.
