The old town mayor of Duramos Island, who also goes by the name Gekko. He found a baby (Beo) and raised him with care, sewing him clothes and hoping for a peaceful life. He was once a nobody in the Rocks Pirates and fled into hiding after the God Valley Incident. He is a kind but stubborn old man who angrily curses Roger for "kidnapping" his son after Beo leaves a note and joins the pirate crew. He is shown jumping and cursing on the shore as the ship departs. Deep down, he cares for Beo greatly, and Beo promises to return with the best wine for him.
