Li Wei is the main protagonist of the story. Originally an ordinary man from Earth, he is hit by a truck on a rainy night and transported to a fantasy otherworld by a mysterious driver. He spends three days surviving in the wilderness, relying on a system that provides information but sometimes fails. He is later found by an old patrol guard named Toke and brought to a camp, where he meets the guards led by Yalanke. After a night of severe indigestion caused by drinking unsafe stream water, he falls unconscious and is taken to a resident named Evendi to recover. Li Wei is confused and frustrated by his new reality, often musing about his past life and the unfairness of his situation. He is determined to adapt but is unsure of his role in this world.
