Li Wen is the protagonist of the story, a student at the Third United Academy in Interstellar Calendar Year 327. He is tall but thin with slightly sunken eyes, wearing an old uniform and a broken Bluetooth earphone that later connects him to the Myriad Worlds Chat Group. During the awakening ceremony, a small black sapling emerges from his palm, classified as a "Waste Seed" with no clear function, leading to ridicule from Wang Hu and others. Despite this, Li Wen remains calm and resourceful. He is skilled in mecha repair, having worked on machines since enrolling. He befriends Abu and often helps him with practical training mechas. After awakening, he discovers that his divine tree sapling can connect to other worlds, absorb resources, and grant him abilities. He travels to a wuxia world, plants the sapling, and receives powerful martial memories and large amounts of spirit crystals. He uses these resources to repair his Grizzly Type 3 mecha and begins to uncover the secrets of his ability, becoming more confident and determined to change his fate.
