Lin Meng's eldest uncle, a calculating man who covets the ancestral home. He withholds the property deed and pressures Lin Meng to give up the house. He is wealthy and influential in the village, but fears the debt collector Fifth Master. He eventually returns the deed after Fifth Master intervenes. He represents the greedy relatives in the story.
