The second wife of the Shen family, from the Second Branch. She manages the household after Shen Ning's mother's death. She is greedy, manipulative, and hostile to the First Branch. She hoards the rewards and property meant for Shen Li's family. In the main hall scene, she eagerly tries to have Shen Ning's body examined to ruin her reputation, but ends up being exposed when the letters are revealed to be from her own daughter, Shen Yue. She is quick to violence and pressure but is outmaneuvered by Shen Ning's cunning plan.
