A gray-bearded physician hired by Lin Xiaojiu to treat Shen Lian. He diagnoses Shen Lian as having an old ailment exacerbated by cold water, and prescribes expensive medicines to help him recover. He also provides a prescription and instructs Lin Xiaojiu on how to pick up the medicine. He portrays a typical experienced healer and charges three and a half taels for his services.
