Hu Xiaofang’s mother is an elderly woman who initially visits Wei Mian for a fortune‑telling for her daughter. She is skeptical at first, but after Wei Mian reveals her daughter’s secret boyfriend, she becomes convinced. She later mediates between Wei Mian and her daughter, sending the fortune‑teller’s phone number to Hu Xiaofang. She is protective of her daughter.
