Old Master Yuanwai is a wealthy man who bought Hong Ling Luo as a courtesan. His wife became jealous and had Hong Ling Luo beaten to death. He later hired a wandering Daoist to protect his home from vengeful spirits. He is an antagonist from Hong Ling Luo's backstory.
