Old Song is an elderly, hunched Odd-Job Disciple with the surname Song, nearly eighty years old. He has been the bell ringer at Time Bell Pavilion for sixty-four years, never missing a single ring. He teaches Li Qian the duties of a bell ringer, including timing the bell rings and observing hourglasses. He also provides martial guidance, helping Li Qian with Qi sensation and internal breath. He shares his own experiences and procures exotic beast dried meat to support Li Qian's cultivation. He has a lifelong regret about not becoming a formal disciple and sees Li Qian as a successor, hoping he may succeed where he failed.
