Qin Huiru is the wife of Jia Dongxu. At this stage, she is still living relatively well with her husband and has a sense of shame. She is described as naturally beautiful and shy, often lowering her head and fiddling with her clothes. She obediently fetches the key to unlock the Shen family's house when ordered by her husband. She has not yet developed the manipulative traits that appear later in the story.
