Qin Hong Yu's father, a greedy and stingy drunkard in his forties. He demanded ten taels of silver for his daughter's betrothal and later tried to renege on the arrangement after Old Man Cao's death. He is forced by Zhou Chen to give Qin Hong Yu in marriage and later becomes involved with Widow Chen, ultimately disappearing after being lured to the back mountain.
