The vice-captain of the Roger Pirates, known as "Pluto Rayleigh." A blond middle-aged man with a calm, playful demeanor. He is usually found sipping wine and observing the crew. As the strongest man on the ship after Roger, he is the primary mentor in training the cadets in physical combat, weapon mastery, and Haki. He is highly perceptive, immediately noticing Beo's special Observation Haki and later recognizing his monstrous talent. Despite his serious strength, he has a teasing side, often laughing at the crew's antics. He is not quick to agree but is willing to teach if the child proves worthy. He would later go on to train the future Pirate King Luffy, but at this point, he is focused on guiding the three young cadets.
