Su Wanyan is the protagonist, originally a modern medical student from a prestigious university in China who time-travels into the body of the concubine‑born daughter of the Yuanning Marquis. After the original Su Wanyan hanged herself to escape marrying the paralyzed Prince Gong, Su Qin’s consciousness takes over.
