Sun Shida is a poor and reckless resident of the courtyard. He also participates in the plot, taking one room of the Shen house. He is described as having no money, no skills, and no connections. During interrogation, he curses Shen Aiguo and vows revenge, showing his brutish nature. His wife later tries to plead for him but continues to curse.
