Tan Mobai is the male protagonist, also 18 years old, a top student who is engaged to Yi Qianqian. He is wealthy and lives in a luxury villa. He has a cold and aloof exterior but often teases Qianqian. He enjoys provoking her, calling her a violent and rude woman. He shows a different side when he protects Han Du'er from danger. He brings Han Du'er home, which angers Qianqian. He deliberately releases the Tibetan mastiff to scare her. Despite their conflicts, he subtly cares for her, arranging for the dog to follow her for protection. He is close friends with Mu Jingran and Xue Yang.
