The chief of Yangqiu Village. He attempts to sell the village's sheep to merchants at a fair price. After discovering that a black dragon (Chen Wen) is buying sheep with gold coins, he negotiates with the dragon, agreeing to trade sheep and iron. He also works to keep the dragon's existence a secret from outsiders, understanding the potential danger if the authorities learn of it.
