Xia Chuwei is the eldest daughter of the Xia family and Jiang Zao’s stepsister. She is also reborn, but two days earlier than Jiang Zao, allowing her to manipulate the marriage alliances so that she marries Jiang Jinfeng (the wealthy Young Master Jiang) instead of Fu Yanci. She carries deep resentment from a previous life in which she married Fu Yanci, was ostracized by the Fu family, and eventually disfigured by sulfuric acid. In the current timeline, she tries to use her knowledge to secure a better life, but her schemes often backfire. She is forced to sign a sham marriage agreement with Jiang Jinfeng, humiliated at the Fu home (once made to kneel and apologize, and later forced to wash dishes as punishment), and suffers financial loss when she is tricked into buying ten expensive toys for Fu Yanci. Despite her reborn advantage, she fails to win Jiang Jinfeng’s affection or the respect of her new in‑laws. She repeatedly tries to belittle Jiang Zao and Fu Yanci in public, but Jiang Zao always turns the tables, leaving Xia Chuwei angry and bitter. Her character is marked by jealousy, pettiness, and an inability to learn from her past mistakes.
