Yan Fugui is the Third Elder of the courtyard, a simple man who loves watering flowers. He is drawn into the scheme against the Shen family and receives one room of the taken house. When the police arrive, he is terrified and faints during interrogation. His family later pleads for leniency, fearing the loss of their breadwinner.
