Yun Ming is the protagonist, a skeleton who awakens in the Bone Sea. He starts as a gray bone, absorbs soul particles from other skeletons, and evolves into a white bone. He survives a human army attack, kills a recruit named York, and later advances by hunting animals. He becomes a lower white bone under Jade Bone Tang Ming, learns a bone technique that produces sharp bone claws, and participates in a deathmatch, winning his first three matches. He is intelligent, determined, and focused on becoming stronger.
