Ziyang Daoist Master is the master of Tai Zhen Temple and the teacher of Yan Luo and Chu Yue. He is a Daoist with limited cultivation who favors Chu Yue over Yan Luo. He gives the two girls magical artifacts before they descend the mountain, believing the Koi Luck requires high cultivation and the Yin-Yang Eyes need sharp intelligence. He gives Chu Yue the Koi Luck and bundles of talismans, while only perfunctorily consulting Yan Luo. He is partial and dismissive, showing little concern for Yan Luo's well-being. He is unaware of the true nature of the artifacts and the dangers they pose.
