I am predicting that Qi Sheng will either become the most hated or the most loved character in the later arcs. Right now, he is a loveable rogue. He steals, he min-maxes, he abandons side characters. If he takes this ruthlessness too far into the Big Dipper arcs (where the original characters have parents and love interests), he might lose the audience. The line between "pragmatic" and "scumbag" is very thin. So far he is walking it perfectly.

I want to read the next ten chapters immediately after finishing this. The combination of system-based power fantasy, genuine friendship with the main cast, and the cosmic scale of the Shading the Heavens setting creates a perfect storm for binge reading. This is exactly the type of story that keeps you up at night thinking "just one more chapter."

Honestly, the only thing holding this back from being a top-tier fanfic is that the relationship with the alternate selves is too easy. He just inherits their power by fulfilling wishes. There is no struggle. He got four stars immediately. The system feels a bit like a "get out of jail free" card rather than an engine for conflict. I hope future selves are harder to please.

The transition to the Ancient Forbidden Land is appropriately terrifying. "When I gaze into the abyss, are the people in the abyss also gazing at me?" is a chilling moment that completely shifts the tone from the humorous Mars heist to the deadly seriousness of the Big Dipper. The author knows exactly when to be funny and when to be scary.

Why hasn't anyone made a "Little Qin Sheng" joke to the Ruthless Empress's followers yet? I am waiting for the moment someone from the Forbidden Land recognizes his soul aura or something and he has to feign ignorance. That interaction is going to be pure fire. The hook for that is so strong.

I seriously doubt this story has a high re-read value simply because the main appeal is the surprise of the system and the knowledge of the plot. Once you know how He subverts the Crocodile Ancestor and the Forbidden Land, the first arc loses some of its tension. Still, for a single readthrough, it is incredibly satisfying.

It feels like the author is having a blast writing this. The enthusiasm bleeds through the text. The "Ascend with the coffin and strike it rich!" line is delivered with such unironic glee that you can't help but smile. It's the pure spirit of a fan writing for their favorite fandom. It doesn't feel like a corporate product, it feels like a love letter.

The foreshadowing of Qi Sheng's eventual confrontation with the big players is good. "I once saw in ancient texts... godlike cultivators can cross star rivers." This immediately establishes the cap level of the world. He knows what is coming. The fact that he is scared of the tomb and the Forbidden Land keeps him humble and the plot grounded despite his cheats.

One criticism that I haven't seen touched on: the dialogue tags are sometimes a bit repetitive ("Qin Sheng said", "Ye Fan asked"). It's a minor thing typical of web novel writing, but it can break immersion in a big narration block. Still, it doesn't detract too much from the overall chaotic fun of the plot.

The low-stakes parts are done really well. The scene on Mars is great. They find the temple. Don't touch the plaque. Take the loot. Leave. It is efficient. It satisfies the need to see the classic "temple on Mars" scene from the original while adding the unique twist that our protagonist knows the cheat codes for the dungeon.

I want to see the other alternate selves. We know four are dead and are providing the fixed boost, but what if a *live* one appears? The "switching modes" function implies there might be other transmigrators from different fictional worlds out there. Imagine if a Cultivation world Qi Sheng appears. The power scaling could go in a completely bananas direction that the original author never intended.

The "flight" metaphor is underrated. Calling the coffin a "flight", himself a "passenger", and the Crocodile Ancestor missing the boarding call is hilarious modern framing. It makes the cosmic journey feel like a comedic airplane delay. This kind of humor is exactly what makes a fanfiction stand out from the sometimes too-serious tone of the original Xianxia genre.
