30. For a start, this book does a great job of planting mysteries and setting up conflicts. The amnesia faking, the mother's absence, the father's coldness, the hidden power level. It's a slow burn with a lot of potential. I'm definitely going to keep reading to see if she takes down this whole messed up family.

2 I kind of wish the two brothers and the sister had been introduced in these chapters. The dad mentions them like it's no big deal. It feels like they're being set up for later, but I would have liked a little taste of their personalities to build more anticipation for the family dinner scene.

2 The section with Baldy giving her a dozen nutrient drinks is such a small, human moment in all the sci-fi craziness. It shows that even in this cold, classist society, there are still people with basic decency. It balances out the coldness of the Lange family.

2 The whole "rich family doesn't believe she's the real daughter" trope is subverted a bit here. They do the paternity test and immediately accept it. That's refreshing. Now the drama isn't about proving who she is, but about what they're going to do with her now that she's back.

2 I appreciate that the author doesn't over-explain the special abilities. The whip, the shield, the memory scan—they just happen. The story trusts the reader to keep up without a ton of exposition dumps. That makes the action scenes snappier and more exciting.

2 The dialogue feels very natural for a novel translation. Sometimes translated books can sound stiff, but this flows well. The characters talk like real people, whether it's the nervous stammering of the Noahde or the slick threat of the glasses guy. It's easy to read.

2 The father's question about her mother felt like a huge red flag. She asks "Where is my mother?" and he doesn't answer. The book just cuts away. That's a deliberate cliffhanger. I'm betting she's either dead because of him or being held somewhere. That's the core mystery for me now.

2 Shen Chenfu's fashion sense is iconic. Thin black hoodie with holes, patched pants, no luggage. She looks like she just crawled out of a dumpster, but she carries herself with this lazy, dangerous confidence. The contrast between her appearance and her power is really well done.

2 I don't fully buy that a family as powerful as the Langes wouldn't have better surveillance or tracking methods. They found her itinerary the second she arrived? That seems a bit too convenient for the plot. Why didn't they find her earlier in the eleven years? The timeline feels a little forced.

2 The setting feels very cyberpunk-lite with a fantasy twist. Space elements, special abilities, but also star coins, hover buses, and optical computers. The mix works well. It's not too hard sci-fi that it becomes boring, but it's techy enough to feel futuristic and cool.

20. The part where the onlookers think a "security guard" saved the Noahde is a fun little irony. It's a great example of how the public can be completely oblivious to what's actually happening. It also shows how Shen Chenfu operates in the shadows, which is her whole vibe.

1 I'm curious about the Wandering Star Cave and the Ruined Land she mentions. Those sound like hellish places. The fact that she survived and clawed her way back to Capital Star with basically nothing makes her incredibly formidable. I want more flashbacks to her life there.
