The emotional core of this segment is the relationship with the Big Dad. Despite all the sci-fi elements, the longing for family is relatable. I felt for both of them.
The profession awakening system here is wild. Rule Creator? Being able to create any rule sounds overpowered, but I’m guessing the rule points will balance it out. The example about making oxygen disappear as a rule was terrifying and awesome at the same time. I’m curious how the energy conversion works. Origin Stones being currency makes sense for a high-martial world. Ling Yan having tens of thousands of them right off the bat feels like a cheat code, but I’m not complaining. Rich protagonist trope done right.
The opening scene with the system and the void space felt a little cliché at first, but I actually liked how they tied in the heart condition following her soul. It’s a small detail that makes her struggle feel more real, not just a generic cheat. And the system being a cute fluffball named Tuan Tuan? Honestly adorable. The way it calls her Wanwan with that crisp child voice got me smiling. I’m already invested in seeing how she navigates the first world.
I do have some nitpicks. The part where Xiao Yu suddenly hears a crow speaking—like she’s in a Xianxia novel? That felt a bit out of place after such a grounded family drama. Is she going to get magical powers? That could be interesting but also ruin the realism. I’ll see where it goes.
