Li Chitian is shaping up to be the kind of side character I want to smack. He’s all about maintaining his reputation, barking orders, and refusing to listen to anyone else, even when they point out that grouping together is suicide against the exotic beasts. The moment he throws a bunch of cars to block the garage entrance and nearly crushes Shu Xiaohui without a second thought—that really shows his selfish side. I hope he gets humbled soon.
The "True Dragon Legacy" being medical skill, physiognomy, feng shui, immortal arts... that's a lot of stuff packed into one power-up. It feels a bit like the author wanted to cover all bases. But it does give Su Chen versatility. I'm curious how the medical skills will be used, because that's less common in these cultivation revenge stories. The divine physician plotline is already looming. So maybe the author wants him to be a healer too, not just a fighter. That's a nice twist.
Alfred the alchemist is a great new side character. Anyone who gets that excited about a new project is a friend of mine. I hope he becomes a regular fixture at the izakaya and not just a tool for plot progression. His alchemist shop sounds like a nightmare to clean but a paradise to visit.
The pacing in the first few chapters is a bit rushed. We go from her getting the space to meeting a powerful being to being flung into a new world in what feels like minutes. I wouldn't have minded a slower burn, maybe showing her stockpiling more or dealing with her daily life before the transmigration.
The journey to the city dragged a bit for me. The part with the beggars and the haunted house felt like it was trying to add a spooky element, but it seemed out of place. He just meets some kids, shares bread, then goes to a house with a ghost lady? It felt like a detour that didn't add much except to show he’s brave, which we already knew.
