He's trying to be honest about the costs and time required, but she's pushing for faster results because she knows the apocalypse is coming. The tension between practicality and urgency is well-portrayed. And the moment where Jiang Fei warns him not to cut corners, with her cold eyes and sharp tone, shows that she's not someone to be trifled with. Even though she looks small and weak, she's got the soul of a survivor who's killed before and will kill again.
The medical clinic subplot is one of my favorite parts of the early story. It’s not just a job; it’s a way for Shi Feizhe to learn about the human body in a practical setting. The fact that he picks up knowledge about acupoints and meridians from bandaging patients feels organic, not contrived.
The talisman exorcism scene was super satisfying the way she just slapped those infant spirits into submission I want to see more of her using these skills.
