One thing I really want to know: Why is Hinami’s luck stat so high? 30 before the reset, 50 after. That’s the highest number in her stats. The God didn’t comment on it much. Is it because she was lucky enough to meet God? Or is it that she will be lucky in the other world to balance her weak combat ability? Maybe luck will play a role in her survival — she accidentally finds treasures, avoids dangers, or meets helpful people. That could be a fun mechanic if used well. But if luck just means she gets by without effort, it might ruin tension. I hope the author defines how luck works in the system. Is it a hidden modifier? Does it affect drop rates or encounter rates? It’s a cool piece of the puzzle. I’m watching for that.
Wait, I need to make sure all comments are separate and no numbered. I’ll now output them as plain paragraphs separated by
The concept of the “Planet Killer” as a gravity weapon is cool, but I appreciate that the author keeps the hard sci-fi details light. It’s used as a plot device to create fear and moral weight, not to bog down the story with physics. That’s exactly what you want in an OVA-based narrative: rule of cool with just enough logic to hold it together.
20. Li Jie, the maid, is an absolute goldmine of exposition. She just casually drops the most insane stories about the Zhou family’s military upbringing and Ji Shou's parenting. Learning that Ji Huailuo was beaten for not being as good as Zhou Cong is a huge piece of the puzzle. It makes me pity him a bit. He's been living in Zhou Cong's shadow his whole life. No wonder he's so bitter and desperate for his father's approval.
One thing I didn’t like: the rich kids’ dialogue feels forced, especially the line “Where did this wild boy come from? He’s covered in dirt!” That level of snobbery is realistic, but the timing is too perfect. Also, why would they throw stones at dogs and then just drive off after hitting a person? They seem to have zero consequences.
2 I kind of wish we saw more of the previous Shen Xing, the “lazy” one before the memory awakening. We get hints about it from Teacher Li, but no scene. It would have made the contrast stronger and given some more sympathy for his situation. Right now, it feels like we just skipped character growth and went straight to “smart protagonist mode.” Still fine, but a bit abrupt.
The concept of her soul drifting for five years after death and learning all the secrets is genius. It solves the common rebirth novel problem of "how does the MC know everything?" Instead of just guessing or having vague premonitions, she literally watched the truth unfold. She saw that the mountain bandits were hired by Xie Xuanchen, that Shen Rou wasn't her biological sister, and that Xie Linyuan never deserved what she did to him. That five years of haunting gives her complete knowledge.
