The Dracula’s skills are named Lethal Shot and Crimson Feast, which sound like attacks from a gun-wielding vampire. I’m curious if normal guns hurt monsters. The combination of vampire bloodline and modern weapons is fresh. It blends fantasy and some steampunk.
Overall, this is a solid start to what looks like a satisfying revenge/cultivation story. It's not going to win any literary awards, but it knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers on that promise. Good pacing, likeable protagonist, clear goals, and plenty of room for growth. I'd definitely keep reading.
I noticed the little detail that Su Luo’s clothes are dirty and she’s been sitting for two days, but Huo Tingyan’s car is spotless and he has a thing for cleanliness. Yet he lets her sit in his Rolls-Royce and even sleeps on his lap. That contrast shows how much influence she’s already having. Also, the author puts a QQ number in the text? That’s weirdly formatted. Might be for promotion. But it doesn’t affect the story. The small details about her resting on his chest and his internal conflict are what make the chapter memorable.
The detail about Jiang Yu only being able to stay in her space for 24 hours at a time is smart. It's a real limitation that makes her vulnerable. Not all spaces are OP with unlimited time travel.
The whole psychological suggestion room with all those spiral patterns is wild. It reminds me of those old government mind control experiments. The way Lin Chen just spaces out to deal with it is a very realistic and clever character moment. It shows he's adaptable and intelligent, not just a brute. He's playing his own game here.
2 I’m a bit antsy waiting for the copper coin to actually appear. Right now we’re in the setup phase, and I want to see the payoff. The story has been teasing this coin’s power for a whole chapter. I hope next part gets into the action. Will Chang Ming burn it? Will it try to bargain with her? I feel like it’s going to be a major antagonist, maybe even the real villain of the arc.
I love how the author shows the grind. Unloading eight tons of cargo by hand? And the weights are these big 200-jin sacks? My back hurt just reading it. The worker camaraderie with Zhao Desheng felt authentic too.
1 Who is Master Liu? The stall owner vanishing is a massive red flag. That's a hidden master if I ever saw one. Did he specifically choose Qin Ge to give the manual to? I need answers.
