The village doctor's terror when seeing Song Chu covered in mud was both humorous and telling of her reputation. Her fierce glare made him shiver, and he rushed to treat Gu Yue. It's a quick way to show social status and gives a lighthearted moment. Also the detail about the muddy faces and being unrecognizable.
The writing style here is straightforward but carries emotion. Lines like “tears began to trickle from the corners of her eyes” are simple yet hit hard because they’re not overwrought. I hate flowery writing, so this plainness works for me.
The way she stored the new cars in a place without surveillance cameras shows she's thinking ahead. She doesn't want anyone connecting her to sudden disappearances of vehicles. That paranoia is going to serve her well when people start getting desperate.
One small detail I loved: when Ji Haoyuan is modifying the Blazing Fire True Art in his enlightenment state, the system keeps flashing prompts like “you gained insight” repeatedly. It’s a simple mechanic, but it really sells the idea that he’s working hard through comprehension, not just getting free levels.
