The opening with Yuan Tao controlling his consciousness space and immediately smacking down that little ghost was such a power move. I was half-expecting the usual amnesia trope, so him being instantly in charge and using his past life's willpower as a weapon felt fresh and satisfying. That "reincarnation with benefits" setup hit the spot instantly.
