The biggest logical hole is that no one from the family ever visited Su Ningxin in the nunnery for over a decade. The old madam seems to accept that without question. Maybe it's a cultural acceptance, but it still made me pause. I'll overlook it because the plot needs it.
Luo Yunshuang’s perspective is a fun addition. Her internal monologue as an empress reborn as a baby is entertaining. The contrast between her grandiose thoughts and her helplessness as an infant is great. The line “I will make you a celestial slave, working three hours a day, only eight days of rest per month” is ironic comedy gold. She’s furious about being fed biscuits, but she still eats them because she’s starving. That struggle between pride and practicality makes her very human. The story balances her arrogance with her vulnerability.
