I just realized how much I appreciate that Shen Fei didn't break down crying or scream at her fate. She assessed, adapted, and acted. That's rare in transmigration novels where the MC often takes chapters to adjust. Her no-nonsense attitude is refreshing and makes me trust the author's writing choices.
What is in that secret letter?! She keeps reading it to reassure herself. Is it a contract? A will? Proof of a battle plan? It feels like her ultimate ace in the hole. I am burning with curiosity. Knowing her, it is something that will completely destabilize the Xu family's new title.
The whole sequence with the timid Human archer who was afraid of Elves was really well done. His prejudice felt believable given his background, but the way those two Elf women just swept him away was hilarious. It also showed that stereotypes aren’t always true in this world.
