I'm really curious about the logic of Wen Hao's muteness. Was she born that way because of trauma or something physiological? And now she can talk just because she's back in time? Or did the shock of the previous death reset something? I hope the author explains this later, because right now it feels like a convenient plot device. But honestly, I don't even care that much because the emotional payoff is so strong. I'm willing to suspend disbelief for the sake of the story.
The tea house as a hub for gossip and news is a classic trope, but it works. The way the bystanders immediately recognize the Iron Horse Seven Thieves and share rumors about Chu Fan's feat gives organic exposition. It's a natural way to drip-feed information about the world and the characters' reputations.
