Wow, the opening scene really pulled me in. The description of waking up from a fall with internal injuries felt so visceral. And then that system pops up just when she's in trouble, perfect timing. I loved how she immediately uses the electric stun gun to take down that officer—such a satisfying moment. The line "This is divine retribution" was cold as hell. Already rooting for the MC.
The system being "damaged by more than half" is a brilliant twist on the usual all-powerful cheat. It’s not some flawless god-machine; it’s a broken piece of junk that barely works. This immediately creates tension and makes things way more interesting than if he just got an instant-win button. I’m actually curious to see how he’s going to work around its limitations, and it explains why the summoning feels so out of place for a xianxia world. That disconnect is a great source of potential future conflict.
But after that easy fight, I’m a bit concerned about the threat level. If Abyss difficulty is this trivial, where’s the challenge? Maybe the demons were just the first wave, or there are stronger enemies later. The novel suggests that the biggest threats might be other lords during the novice period (trade and chat are blocked for 30 days). That could be a good source of conflict.
The whole “Spirit of Heaven and Earth” stone with the four characters in his dream is a nice touch, makes me wonder if there’s a bigger cultivation or mystery behind it. I’m hoping the author expands on that soon, because right now the power just feels like a farming cheat without much depth. The fact that overusing it makes him faint is a good limitation though.
The apocalypse logic with the "antitoxin" making him immune to the virus for a year is a huge advantage, but the system also warns he can still be physically harmed. The zombies are dangerous because of their teeth, not just infection. That's good. It keeps combat risky even with immunity. The General Medicine can bring back from brink of death. So there is a safety net but it's far away (5000 points). It gives him a long-term goal: survive long enough to cure his sister. That's a compelling arc.
