I’m curious about the overarching mystery: where did the golden list come from? Is it a natural phenomenon of the Dao, or is it created by some ancient being? The mention of “the One That Escaped from the Great Dao” leaves a lot of room for interpretation. I hope the author explores that later instead of just using the list as a gimmick.
The "Exile" arc is a classic setup for a historical transmigration novel for a reason. It strips the characters of their status and wealth (except what the MC secretly has!) and forces them to rely on each other. It is the perfect environment for romance and survival. I can already imagine the campfire scenes. This is going to be the best part of the book.
1 Li Rulan is such a brat, but in a realistic way. She's been spoiled by her mother and expects everything to go her way. The part where she runs crying to her mom about Qiao Nian taking her clothes felt exactly like a spoiled daughter who's never been told no. Her shock at being threatened with a knife was both funny and a wake-up call for her.
Han Qianxue is the bigger villain between the two sisters, but she barely appears after the betrayal. She's only mentioned as being at the villa but Su Chen can't find her. That's a letdown. I want to see her confrontation with the new Su Chen. The story is saving her for later, which is smart, but right now I'm impatient. Han Qianrou was a side villainess, but Qianxue is the one who actually orchestrated the death of his parents. I need that showdown. Her laugh "Hahahahaha" when she mocked him was chilling.
