The Nether Guidance trait activating so quickly after the barracks was placed shows the god-tier talent is proactive, not passive. It actively modifies Shen Chi's situation to better align with the Nether King theme. The "guiding your return" phrasing suggests this talent has an agenda beyond just granting power, maybe connected to the Nether Plane's own will. This could develop into an interesting plot thread about destiny versus free will as the story progresses.
The floating corpse holding onto a tree trunk bothered me way more than it should have. Why would a drowning victim be hugging a tree? That's not how drowning works. Either someone put them there, or something weirder is going on.
Luo Zhao is stealing the show for me. He's only ten, but he talks like a bitter old man. The way he curses his parents and shows no fear of his father really makes me suspect he's reborn. That little hint of 'past life' trauma adds so much depth to his character. I can't wait to see his full backstory.
