If I were to suggest an improvement, I’d say balance the Wang Dali section with a bit more Tan Ci mystery at the same time. Maybe show his investigation while the rescue happens. That would create parallel tension. But as it is, it’s still good. Just a thought for pacing variety.
This story has a great sense of humor buried in the dark plot. Yang Nuo's internal monologues are gold. Like when he thinks, "If I die, maybe I'll transmigrate again," or his reaction to the maid buying: "Hahaha, I finally got a personal maid. This wicked old society, only this comforts my little heart." That's peak transmigrator energy. It breaks the tension without ruining the mood.
I appreciate that Lin Xiaoxiao's medical knowledge from her past life actually matters. She was a genius surgeon, and now she's using that to help wolves give birth and treat injuries. It's not just a background detail - it drives the plot and gives her a role in the pack. The fact that she's basically the wolf tribe's doctor and everyone respects her for it is a solid character growth arc for someone who started as a helpless toddler.
