The loan sequence is a bit over-the-top, but honestly, if I knew the apocalypse was coming, I’d do the same. Max out credit cards, borrow from every shady app, and just give zero worries about repayment. It’s realistic in a twisted apocalyptic way, and I respect her hustle.
Okay, I have to talk about the matchmaker, Aunt Wu. She's such a great side character. You can tell she's experienced and sharp, figuring out from the gossip that Gu Jia Ning might be into someone else. Her hesitation to tell Sheng Ze Xi the news, and then his angry reaction about Gu Jia Ning being "blind" and having water in her brain, is just perfect. It adds a bit of humor to a heavy situation. I also love that she's professional and still confirms the blind date for the next day. It shows she cares about doing her job right.
I’m so curious about the connection between Han Yi and Fang Xianyu’s past. There are hints that his real-world memories overlap with her original timeline. If he turns out to be connected to her somehow, that would completely change the dynamic. I’m watching for any clues.
I appreciate that the protagonist doesn't become some overpowered Mary Sue. Even in Beginner Mode, she gets tired and breathes heavily after fighting. She's not invincible; the difficulty just tilts the odds in her favor. It's a clever way to give her power without making the story boring. There are still stakes and consequences.
There are seeds of a larger plot: the rogue beastmen gang who stripped Zhi Le's abilities, the level 6 crystals collection, the upcoming heat. The beast world seems to have larger territorial conflicts beyond the tribe. I'm intrigued by the mention of "market town on the Dongye Forest side." That hints at inter-tribal commerce and perhaps a larger society with cities. There might be a wider political struggle among tribes for resources. The system also hints at "Southern Dongye Forest" as a regional location. That suggests there is a Northern and perhaps western and eastern zones. I'd like to see exploration beyond the Lu'ni tribe. The story's immediate focus is survival, but I hope it expands into more epic territory, like hunting high-level beasts or encountering other humanoids. The potential is there.
