The worldbuilding seems cool—Underworld, Necromancers, Warriors, Swordsmen, Five Elements Mages, and Adventurer Groups. Ji Yu was a Zombie King with a golden body but got nerfed. The barriers between worlds weakening suggests bigger plot later. I want to know more about the Underworld hierarchy and how necromancy actually works here.
Her three conditions are hilarious in hindsight. Golden fingers, being a post-2000s baby, and keeping her belongings. She thought she was gaming the system, but the Underworld staff completely outplayed her. The "post-2000 has not been developed yet" reveal is such a rug-pull. The staff member's smirk as she says "this time" should have been a red flag. Jiang Qingyue got played like a fiddle and she doesn't even know it yet.
The chase scene between the Chaos Bead and Hongjun lasted three days and three nights and honestly I felt exhausted just reading it. The way Lin Yu is constantly running, hiding, and then finally snapping and turning back to fight was a great payoff. When he rammed through Hongjun's body and green blood rained down, I was like "yes! fight back!" It's a small victory but it establishes that Lin Yu isn't completely helpless despite being a bead. That moment gave me hope for his survival.
I’m liking the whole “past life memories + system cheat” combo, it’s an isekai sandwich I didn’t know I wanted. Wang Lun goes from a scaredy-cat mountain chief to a reincarnated war god in like, two paragraphs, and the pacing is actually decent. The gourd thing is quirky too—absorbing dead souls to transfer skills? That’s morbid and brilliant. The downside is this whole upgrade feels rushed, like the writer couldn’t wait to make him OP. The spear and horse rewards were cool, but I wish the gourd had more mystery time before getting overshadowed by the next system ding.
