The worldbuilding through dialogue is subtle but effective. The gnome’s mention of the Hothorn Royal Academy, the bard leaving a skill page, the hints about goblin reproduction—all dropped naturally without info dumps. I feel like I’m learning about this world along with Xia Nan, which keeps me engaged.

The bit about Jin Yue'e (the mother) not being present when the attack happens is a relief but also sets up potential drama later. Will the kids have to rescue her or survive alone? It leaves threads that make me want to continue.
