Chen Dian is the male protagonist who, together with Yan Yu, activates a space-time device in an attempt to return home, only to be transported to a primitive alien world. He demonstrates strong leadership, courage, and resourcefulness, taking charge of exploring the unknown environment, protecting Yan Yu, and eventually helping the backward He Man Village develop by organizing farming, metal smelting, construction, and military training. He personally infiltrates the Niutou Mountain bandit base to confront the chieftain Yizhuxixiang. Throughout the journey, he remains determined to find the Time Gem and a way back to his own time.
