Chen Dian and Yan Yu, hearts pounding, activated the time-space device they and their friends had painstakingly researched to return home. They lost consciousness and woke up on a lush green grassland in a completely unfamiliar world, with Yan Yu lying beside them. They saw a group of short, brown-skinned people dressed in rough linen chasing a goat with wooden sticks. Chen Dian and Yan Yu hid in a nearby cave, where they found strange carvings and murals they could not decipher. Suddenly, green-skinned, large-eyed creatures surrounded the cave entrance, trapping them. Chen Dian threw a stone to distract them and escaped with Yan Yu into the grassland. They ran until a light appeared, leading them to a portal that sucked them in. They landed in He Man Village, where the locals eyed them strangely. An elderly man learned their story and said the village had never heard of time travel but offered them shelter. The village used only basic stone tools, with no knowledge of bronze or iron. Chen Dian and Yan Yu decided to find a way home first.

The next morning, they explored and discovered ancient ruins with mysterious symbols. A mysterious woman in a white dress appeared behind them and said they needed the legendary Time Gem to open the way home. She would not give details, only that the Gem was hidden in a dangerous place requiring wisdom, courage, and fate. Then she left. Back at the village, Chen Dian and Yan Yu grew anxious. The village chief told them an ancient legend: a hidden temple in the Black Forest north of the village contained a gem of mysterious power, possibly the Time Gem. Despite the dangers, Chen Dian and Yan Yu resolved to go. They made two stone axes and simple bark helmets and armor, then set off.

On the way, they encountered a fierce storm and sheltered in a foul pit, waiting until nightfall when the wind stopped. Hungry and exhausted, they had lost their dried food. Yan Yu grew cold and weak. Chen Dian carried her forward until they reached a mysterious white forest where they found edible wild fruit. Later, they discovered a dilapidated hut, and Chen Dian found a flint, allowing them to make fire. They regained strength and slept. Continuing into the Black Forest, they found the temple with a sealed door. They entered through a half-open window. Inside the dark temple, they heard faint footsteps and hid. A giant man, pitch-black, at least three meters tall, appeared and murmured about waiting for someone. The giant left. Then a scream came from a hall—the same woman was tied to a stone pillar. They freed her; she introduced herself as Yingxiu, from Earth’s parallel world Dacheng Kingdom. The giant returned, demanding Yingxiu reveal the Time Gem’s location. When she refused, the giant attacked. Chen Dian and Yan Yu fought back, eventually knocking the giant down and escaping with Yingxiu.

Yingxiu confirmed the Time Gem legend but said details were unclear. She suggested cooperating with He Man Village to develop strength. Chen Dian agreed: they would help the village build sturdy houses and make advanced tools, then gradually pursue the Gem. They discussed with the village chief, who worried about the village’s lack of young people. Chen Dian insisted that developing tools and weapons would give them an advantage. They began planning, starting with smelting copper ore. Chen Dian and a villager named Li Hui led the attempt. The furnace cracked violently, causing flying ore to injure many villagers. Dejected, Chen Dian encouraged everyone not to give up. After a few days, they prepared again for another copper smelting attempt, determined to succeed. Through perseverance and innovation, they aimed to grow strong enough to return to the temple, defeat the guardian, obtain the Time Gem, and find their way home.

Overall, I'd give this story 5 out of 5 stars for now. It starts generic but gets better during the survival and village development parts. The characters need more depth, and the plot has holes, but it's fun and engaging. The pacing is uneven, but the cliffhangers make me want to continue. If the author fixes logic issues and fleshes out the world and characters, it could be a solid read. I'm cautiously optimistic.

This story reminds me of Japanese isekai like "Dr. Stone" where characters use modern knowledge to develop a primitive society. The Chinese names and setting give it a fresh flavor. The parallel world twist with Dacheng Kingdom adds a layer, similar to "The Wandering Earth" meets fantasy. It's not highly original, but the combination is entertaining enough for a casual read.

Good details: the smelly pit, the flint find, the white forest (even if unexplained), the copper smelting process description, Yan Yu's cold symptoms. Weak details: the green monsters' appearance, the giant's contradictory footsteps, the sudden portal, the fight scene. The author is good at survival details but weaker on action and world logic. More sensory descriptions would enhance the reading experience.

Despite the flaws, I found myself wanting to continue reading. The survival parts were gripping, the village development subplot is interesting, and the mystery of the Time Gem and Yingxiu's background kept me going. The story has a decent hook. I'd probably turn the page to see if they succeed in smelting copper and what the giant's deal is. That "one more chapter" feeling counts for something.

The worldbuilding has potential. I like the idea of multiple parallel worlds, including a Chinese-inspired Dacheng Kingdom. He Man Village is primitive but friendly. The Black Forest temple and Time Gem are classic fantasy elements. The author mixes sci-fi (time device, portal) with fantasy (giant, gem). It's not the most original, but the combination of survival, development, and exploration is engaging. I want to see more of the world.

There are several logical holes. The time device was supposedly researched by them and friends, but they have no backup or way to return? The portal appears conveniently. The giant is weak despite being huge. Yingxiu knows about the Time Gem but gets captured easily. The white forest has no explanation. These bug me a bit. It feels like the author prioritizes plot movement over consistency.
