Colonel Anferu Publius is the de facto commander of New Balance and Jowain's direct superior. A bald, enormous man with a deep, grumpy voice, he is cunning and ruthless. He orders the deployment of Planet Killers to destroy the stolen Trismegistus and cover up New Balance's involvement, and plans to dispose of Jowain's crew after the mission. He believes in maintaining order through fear and is the primary antagonist Jowain must defeat.
